Women Should Not Be Judged Based On Their Hair.
Monday, August 23rd, 2010In a country that seems to be infatuated with long, sleek hair, having a natural curls can make one stand out but not in a good way. Many curly haired women feel that their hair is embarrassing because it tends to be messy or too big. In high school, when one’s major concern is fitting in with the rest, having a curly hair seem like a curse. no wonder so many curly-haired girls choose to rebond or relax their hair, blow dry it straight, or keep it pulled back all the time. In my myspace account I had pictures of my early years that I have a super curly hair. The people who saw it commented so much negatively. So one of the things that I did is to just hide it. how can I hide my comments on myspace is the first thing that I worked on. People can really say nasty things just because of the stupid notion that curly hair is unpretty. I wish people could respect individuality and uniqueness and not judge someone based on the texture of their hair.
