It looks like my business is going overseas. Actually, it feels funny saying that because my business goes overseas all the time. I own a former cruise ship. We still run it like a cruise ship in that we have entertainment on board and we host passengers in the hotel rooms, but we do not visit ports of call. We are what one cruise line would call a cruise to nowhere. We just take passengers out into international waters so they can legally gamble. We usually sail out of Florida and are a registered American business, but some of the legislation passed after the economic meltdown is actually going to make it really tough for us to stay registered as a domestic business. So, I am looking for an offshore company formation firm that can help me move my businesses legal anchor from the States to one of the islands in the Caribbean. It’s funny. I am off-shoring my company entirely, but I am keeping all my employees and they all will still live in the United States. This is certainly not your typical off-shoring story.
